Description

Come work with us at Rogers Farms selling local Alberta and BC produce and making and selling fresh salsas at outdoor farmers markets in Southern Alberta this summer. We are looking for up to six staff to help at the markets and preparing salsas in a commercial kitchen starting May 15 till Oct 13, 2025. This can be your first job or you can have kitchen or sales experience or other work experience and want to get back into the job market. -Helping sell produce at the farmers market helping make salsas in a commercial kitchen 1-2 days a week -Setup and takedown of the produce stand daily including tents, tables, produce. -Setup and refill the display of produce and salsas. packaging and portioning of some of the produce. -Give samples of produce and salsas engage customers, answering questions about the produce and salsas, explaining how the produce is grown, explaining how the salsas are made. -Occasionally doing cashier work helping with sales -Learning and implementing our sales process -managing the quality of the produce, replacing anything that is not saleable. -occasionally sorting produce for sale, donation or compost. -Making sure salsas are on ice operating point-of-sale phone apps for processing card payments It helps to have your own transportation because 2 days we start very early, but you could be dropped off at work. 3 of 5 days you can take public transportation. Transportation to out of town markets may be provided. Training and mentoring is provided.
